Definition
The means for two or more stations operating on the same Freq to exchange information. It is not a substitute for planning or prep, it is the voice of command. Composed of the Unit leader and subordinate leaders within the same unit

Definition
Bn Tac 2 is the main Admin & Logistic net. It is serves as a secondary Tac C2 net. Stations use the net as required. Co 1stSgt's and Co GySgt's will use this net to request logistical support and send/receive reports.

Bn Tac 3 is the Fire Support Net. All Fire Support Nets (air, naval gunfire, artillery, mortars) are monitored int he Fire Support Coordination Center (FSCC) that is part of the COC.

Explain a "Free" Controlled Net
Definition
This is the most common type of control for Tac Nets at the small unit level. All stations monitor the net, and are required to advise the Net Control Station (NCS) anytime they have to drop off the net. Outstations can commiunicate with each other without going through or requesting permission from the NCS.

Definition
The Net Control Station (NCS) strictly controls all traffic on the net. Outstations must request permission from, or pass triffic through NCS in order to communicate with other outstations.
