Grievance Procedure

Reprimands, formal and informal counseling, position classifications, classification appeal, job descriptions, performance evaluation appeals, disability determinations, and similar matters for which appellate procedures are currently provided in the County Code of Miami-Dade County, or other provisions of this agreement, are not subject to review as grievances. However refusal to 

(1) Process an application an application or appeal, (2) follow time limits, (3) permit an employee a right to representation (4) denial of a right to receive a reply are?

Expressly Grievable

Step 1 The aggrieved employee, with or without a Association representative, shall discuss the grievance or dispute with the ______________ within ____________ of the occurrence or knowledge of the matter.

Classification Appeal

Whenever an employee has reason to believe they are misclassified, he / she may apply for a review of their classification, in writing to their immediate supervisor. Such request, including a job description prepared by the employee and commented upon by the Department shall be forwarded to the (_______________) by the employee's department within (___).

Compensation Section by the employee's department within 20 working days of receipt of the request. 

Dues Check Off

Upon receipt of written authorization from an employee, the County agrees to deduct the regular Association and insurance premiums of such employee from his biweekly pay and remit such deduction to the Association within (____) of deduction?
