hopelessness, individualism, compassion, self enlightenment.

hopelessness: feeling like you can't do anything to help the suffering

individualism: thinking only about yourself and how suffering will affect you and only you

compassion: helping the suffering out of compassion for their situation, lovingly

self enlightenment: helping the suffering because you will benefit from it
