Definition
What is one of your character's core beliefs? What is something they have always felt is true? Do they even have any?

Definition
Does your character have something in their past that they cannot seem to let go? How does this impact their progress?

Definition
If your character could do something all over again, would they do it differently?

Defensive 

Definition
What's something that gets under your character's skin? Something must bother them. If you wanted to seriously piss off your character, what would you say to them?

Definition
What gets your character excited? It could be a thing, situation or person. What are they really passionate about?

Fashion 

Definition
What does your character wear? Do they have a unique style? Do they follow the trends or stick out awkwardly like a sore thumb? What does your character put on every day?

Gifts 

Definition
Does your character have an unique abilities? What are they good at? Everyone is good at something. Is their gift applicable in every day life? Are they aware of good they are at it? Do other people appreciate their talents?

Help

Definition
Who does your character turn to when they are in trouble? This person may or may not be willing and able to answer the call.

Imagine 

Definition
Your character has thoughts. Your character has ideas. What are some of their dreams? They don't need to be rational or based in reality.

Jest

Definition
What is your character's sense of humor like? Dry whit? Slapstick? Dirty? Dark? Maybe they don't really have one. Is there anything that makes your character laugh?

Kill

Definition
Imagine your character's death. How would they meet their untimely end. Maybe it won't come up in your piece but knowing how someone dies can tell you a lot about how you live. Plus, let's be honest here, one of the most fun things about writing is playing God. Gods are not always merciful.

Definition
What is something your character could not bear to lose? Take it away from them and see what happens.

Definition
This is a pretty bland question but how well off is your character? What do they do for work? This could influence their daily schedule, how much free time they have...

New

Definition
This is a wild card. Throw something at your character that they would normally never encounter: a complete anomaly. Push them out of their comfort zone.

Opportunities 

Definition
Do any doors open to your character? What chances do they have to change their circumstances?

Punitive 

Definition
Punish your character. Have them get in trouble with an authority figure. This could be a parent, a teacher, the law... How would they respond to this?

Definition
Does your character ever doubt themself? Why? What would it do their personality if they did?

Definition
What disgusts your character? They find it almost intolerable and they cannot be around it.

What contributes to your character's sense of security and what do they do when that feeling is threatened?

Know about your character's culture. What are their habits? What do they do every year? Do they observe any traditions?

Does your character have a secret? Something they wouldn't want anyone to know?

Take the current age of your character and subtract  a couple of years. What were they like?

What is your character's relationship with the animal kingdom? Do they encounter animals in their day to day life?
