Y-intercept

The Y-coordinate of the point where the graph intersects the y-axis

 a nonverticle line is the ratio of the rise(verticle change) to the run(horizontal cahnge) between any 2 points on the line.

Rise

The veticle change between two points on a line.

Run

The horizontal change between two pionts on a line.

Slope-Intercept form

The form of a linear equation Y=mx+b where m is the slope and the b is the Y-intercept.

Scatter Plot

The graph of a set of data pairs (X,Y), which is a colletion of points in a coordinate plane.

Linear Equation

An equation in which the varibles appear in seperate terms and each varible occurs only to the first power.
