Landing with Hung Gear.
Definition
1. APP -- Start.
2. Wheelbrakes -- On and Locked.
3. Hover Landing -- Let down slowly allowing no forward/sideward movement.
4. Collective -- Lower slowly as main landing gear contacts the ground. Ease cyclic back as helicopter settles nose down.
5. Wheel Chocks -- In place.
6. Engine -- Shut Down.
7. Rotor Brake -- Apply after rotor has coasted to stop.

Definition
Landings with all wheels retracted or with any one or two wheels down may be made by placing soft objects such as mattresses under the malfunctioning landing gear and bottom of fuselage. Ground personnel should place the soft objects prior to touchdown and then direct the pilot from a hower to a vertical landing on the objects.

Definition
If the landing gear is not fully retracted, they may push forward as in partial retraction, and the helicopter will settle on the lower fuselage and sponsons.

Definition
Pitch attitudes in excess of 5 deg to 7 deg should not be exceeded when landing with wheels up. If the landing gear system experienced an electrical malfunction and the landing gear has been lowered by the emergency system the tail skid will not be extended.
