2. Land as soon as possible.
3. Shutdown -- Normal (do not use rotor brake)
Term
Rotor Damper Failure Warnings
Definition
Damper failure with complete loss of hydraulic fluid will cause severe lateral, Nf and Nr fluctuations
Term
Rotor Damper Failure Notes
Definition
1. Control inputs should be small and smooth, AOB should be kept to a minimum.
2. Running landing preferable/no-hover acceptable.
Term

1. Airspeed -- Slowly reduce to 80kts
2. Engine Instruments -- Check
3. Perform controllability check.
4. If no problems continue flight.
Term
Bird Strike Note
Definition
Extent of damage will determine landing priority.
Term
Pilot Induced Collective Bounce Steps
Definition
*1. Flight Controls -- Release/monitor.
*2. Load -- Jettison (as required).
Term
Pilot Induced Collective Bounce Caution

Term
Blade Stall
Definition
Gradually decrease CLTV, airspeed, and severity of manuever, increase Nr if possible.
Term
Blade Pressure Loss
Definition
1. Reduce speed below 130 KIAS
2. If EMI is suspected, change heading 180 degrees wait 5 minutes to stabilize.
3. Check caution light.
4. If light goes out, suspect EMI. Pull CB. Flight is restricted to 2.5 hrs with CB's pulled.
5. If light stays on -- Land as soon as practical and check manually.
