Term
Discuss the concept of quality assurence.
Definition
the concept of quality assurence is to prevent mishaps/defects or reduce them
Term
discuss individual responsibility with respect to quality assurence.
Definition
my job as it deals with quality assurence is to make sure that work is being done correctly , using procedures, making sure that the gear is being treated properly taken care of , by being put together making sure that the gear is RFI and that it will not cause damage to anything when being used.
Term
the function and purpose of the cdi.
Definition
the purpose of the cdi is to inspect gear when is comes in , do step checks on gear as it is being worked on , inspect it after it is complete. Also the cdi’s job is to make the the colateral duties are being kept up and all the QA programs are being followed.
Term
state definition and purpose of receiving/screening inspection.
Definition
the purpose of this inspection is to check gear as it comes into the shop . checking for damaged gear ,to make sure we can work on it. also making sure we have everything we need to do our job.
Term
in-process inspection.
Definition
this inspection is when the gear is being worked on making sure that the techs are doing what they are supose to IAW the procedure.. doing step checks to verify that the gear is RFI or not
Term
final inspection.
Definition
this inspection is to make sure that the gear is fully ready for use . checking the stickers and all other paper work .. looking at the gear to make sure that it is RFI and that if it is used it will not damage or cause problems for another system.
Term
explain the chain of responsibility for the cdi when performing inspections and maintenance.
Definition
when gear comes in do a receiving/ screening inspetion, as gear is being worked on to do in- process inspection , making sure that the marines are doing all the proper procedures, then do a final inspection.
Term
types of inspection that cdi’s can not preform.
Definition
cdi cant inspect there own work and they cant sign as an inspector or for thing they do not have a qual for.
Term
state the cdi responsibility as it applies to the tool control program.
Definition
the cdi has to make sure that all the tool are accounted for , all the tool are CC’ed, the cdi also needs to make sure the tool are being used properly , for what they were made for. Also inspect tools to make sure that they are still in good working condition.
Term

Term
define and discuss the QDR program.
Definition
PQDRs are used to report R} product deficiencies attributable to the supplier, contractor, or rework facility through deficient material or manufacturing and substandard workmanship or rework. PQDRs apply to all new or newly reworked material, products, and software, which do not meet contractual or specification requirements.
Term

The TCP establishes policy and responsibilities for implementing, maintaining, controlling, storing, replacing, and inventorying common hand tools.
Term
discuss the responsibilities of maintenance personnel in the FOD prevention program
Definition
prevent damage to aircraft, engines, SE and other aeronautical equipment, and to provide uniform FOD reporting procedures. FOD walks are done every day . also inside of the w/c we do clean ups and fod checks when working on gear.
Term
explain the cal program.
Definition
The METCAL Program establishes policy, responsibilities, and requirements to ensure SE/TMDE performance is compared to reference CALSTDs of known and sufficiently greater accuracy. Calibration ensures SE/TMDE is operating within established tolerance limits (the cal program is there to make sure that presicion measuring equipment used on aircraft and other subsystems. Are up to par. We have gear come in the shop IAW its cal cycle to maintain and do routine checks. We are also here to fix any problems with the gear .)
Term
discuss work center TPL.
Definition
the work center TPL is there to provide techs manuals and publications on gear that we work on in the shop. These pubs help us troubleshoot and find solutions to problems within a test set.
Term
discuss the purpose and use of the work unit code.
Definition
the WUC is a code assotiated with a part number
Term
MRCS.
Definition
MRCs provide the instructions required for the efficient performance of scheduled maintenance tasks. Each MRC contains the tasks relating to a particular system, subsystem, area, or component using a logical sequence for accomplishment. MRCs identify the recommended rating or MOS, performance interval, this is a card that tells you step by step how to preform certain periodic maintenance(preops , MF inspection , ESD checks)

Term
discuss naval aviation maintenance discrepency reporting program(NAMDRP).
Definition
establishes policy, responsibilities, and requirements for reporting substandard workmanship, improper QA procedures, and deficiencies in material and publications. ( NAMDRP reports consist of HMRs, EIs, HMR/EIs, PQDRs (CAT I and II), AIDRs, TPDRs (CAT 1, 2, 3 and 4), and BTRs. If a DR meets the criteria for an HMR and warrants an EI, it should be submitted as an HMR/EI.)
Term
discuss the content use and location of technical directives.
Definition
