-Trauma -Testicular torsion (surgical emergency, acute onset scrotal, inguinal, lower abd pain, +nausea, vomiting, cremaster reflex absent) -Epididymitis (more insidious onset, high fever, freq, urgensy, dysuria, cremaster and phrens sign is present) -Hydrocele (Cystic painless scrotal fluid collection, transillumination) -Torsion of appendage (less morbidity than testicular torsion, blue dot sign) -Tumor (no pain, no transillumination) -Other: inguinal hernia, HSP, referred pain Varicoele (dilated and torturous veins, more common on left side bc spermatic vein enters renal vein @ 90 degree) |
