GENERAL NOTE 1: To determine core flow with only one Recirc pump running, idle loop jet pump flow must be subtracted from the running loop jet pump flow.

GENERAL NOTE 2: During core flow transients, it may take up to two minutes for indicated flow to match actual flow.

 

IMMEDIATE OPERATOR ACTIONS

  1. IF core flow is LESS THAN 35 Mlbm/hr,
    THEN determine if the stability BUFFER or EXCLUSION regions have been entered.
     
  2. IF neutron flux oscillations are observed for any reason while operating in the stability
    BUFFER or EXCLUSION regions,
    THEN initiate a MANUAL REACTOR SCRAM.
     
  3. Notify Shift Supervision.
