MAGNETIC CHIP DETECTOR
Definition

-Magnetic chip detector plug in bottom of reduction gear

  box operates as normally open switch.

 

-If a large metal chip or mass of small ferrous particles bridge the detector gap, the circuit will be completed and a yellow caution light will illuminate.
