Be able to name and classify the commonly abused drugs within the drug families… narcotics etc as well as within the schedules of the Controlled Substances Act as discussed in lecture

 Be able to list and define the schedules of the Controlled Substances Act

Be able to describe the laboratory tests normally used to perform a routine drug identification test and know which tests identify which drugs

Be able to explain the testing procedures used for forensic identification of marijuana

Understand and be able to describe the proper collection and preservation of  drug evidence

All packages must be marked with information that is sufficient to ensure identification by the officer in the future and establish the chain of custody.
