What are the parts of the cerebrum?
Definition

-4 lobes:

    -frontal:reason (think that reason is the most important so therefore it;s in the frontal lobe, which goes first.

    -temporal:perceptions of sound and speech (emotion)

    -occipital-visual processing

    -parietal-all senses

What are the three parts of the brain and what are their functions?
Definition

-cerebrum-where the high level mental processes occur;where the 4 lobes are.

-cerebellum-used for controlling of movement and posture.

-brain stem-used for basic life functions-the ones you don't really think about

-The connection between the left and right hemisphere of the brain. (each side of the brain controls the opposite side of your body.)

-Aphasia:You have a hard time speaking/remembering words

-Temporal lobe epilepsy-Have other circuits that are lost because others are getting stronger. pay attention too much to everything.

-A treatment for psychological disorders in the 1930-50's. It  prevented there from being any sort of communication to and from the prefrontal cortex, which impaired the frontal lobe; impairment of reason and ability to plan things, etc.
