penalty for a foul
Definition
1. out of bounds. the opposing team brings the ball in. this occurs when the player was not shooting and the fouling team has less than 7 team fouls
2. if the fouling team has 7 8 or 9 fouls, the player who was fouled will receive 1 free throw. if she makes it, she gets to try for the seconds.
3. 2 free throws are awarded to a player who is fouled when she is in the act of shooting.

Definition
1. commmiting unsportsmanlike foul
2. disrespectful to an official
3. using profanity
4. excessively swinging arms or elbows is a technical foul-no contact necessary.
5. a sub may not enter court without reporting to scorer's table or being beckoned by an official.
6. player shall not change numbers, or wear an identical number
7. delaying the game by preventing the ball from being played after the basket.

2 free throws and possession of the ball out of bounds to opponent. if a player recieves 2 technical fouls=out of the game

international or flagrant foul
Definition
an intentionally violent or savage contact such as striking, kicking, running under a player who is in the air which cause severe injury to the opponent. PENALTY= the player is disqualified and the opponent is awarded 2 free throws and ball out of bounds

free throw
Definition
the space nearest to the basket is the opposing player, then the same player and the opposing player. the shooter may not cross the free throw line until the ball touches the rim. all players occupying free throw line amy not enter the key until the ball touches rim. if the ball does not touch the rim, opposing team will be awarded ball out of bounds

if game is tied @ the end of the 4th guarter, play will continue for 3 minutes of overtime
