Your qualitites?
Career effect?
Definition
Excellent way to build upon my character and enhance my ability to lead.

I feel that I already make a contribution to our community through my work at Victoria Police - but the Army would enable me to make a bigger contribution to the whole of Australia and hopefully the world.

I believe I have the right natural qualities to be an officer in the Australian Army, such as the ability to quickly make decisions based on available information and be accountable and responsible for those decisions and their outcomes.

The way I see it, the experiences I could gain would complement my role as a project manager, and I see my current knowledge and experience as something that can contribute towards my role in the army.
Term
How long do you think you'd like to be enlisted or appointed for? What are your career aspirations within the army?

What is a leader?
Definition
A leader earns the respect of their peers and is able to inspire people in order to successfully lead.

A real leader is visionary and transformational. They give their followers a sense of purpose, increasing their levels of motivation - they are able to inspire people to follow them into dangerous situations that they would normally consider too risky - but would willingly do so under a charismatic leader that they believe in.

I see this as incredibly important from a military perspective. When people are faced with life-threatening danger, fear, loss of morale and self preservation can set in. But a charismatic leader is able to enable their followers to overcome those burdens, making them focus on the goal at hand and instilling them with the belief that it is achievable and must be done - not just for themselves, and not just for the leader but for the greater good and safety of their fellow soldiers.
