Syringe Size Range

1ml to 100ml

General Rule

To produce a more accurate measurement, always use a syringe closest to the amount of fluid tht needs to be measured

(e.g. use a 10ml syringe rather than 20ml for 7.5 ml)

Two Syringe Types

Glass and Plastic;

plastic most common, but compatability and cost are taken into consideration when deciding which to use

Shaft, hub, beveled tip, beveled heel, bevel

Needle Size (Gauge)

Outside diameter is the gauge of needle; the larger the needle, the smaller the guage, and vice versa
