There is two types of vetoes:

  • regular veto- within a ten day period, the president can send unsigned veto back stating why it was vetoed.
  • pocket veto- the president refuses to sign
  • action by both houses are required 2/3 majority vote.
  • If congress isnt ajurned and president won't sign or veto, the bill becomes a law
