When using a catheter in a male to collect urine. A catheter is a foreign object and can potentially causes infection.

Cefazolin will not work if a bacteriostatic abx is used in conjunction, as the inhibit growth/division.

Route: Give IV slowly over 5 min, becuase you can see adverse effects (vomiting, hypotention) if given too quickly.
