Definition
Achieved status are skills that you can build that will facilitate one to a higher social status (good speech making, assemble and give a monka, accumulate lots of pigs, correct age). However ascribed statuses are benefits that you are BORN with that will lead to higher social status such as inheritance/wealth, race, and gender)
For example Ongka the big man became successful via achieved status (he had to gather pigs, persue others)
