-Monitor the ecg during administration - causes minimal heart stimulation
-Use with caution with hx cardiac/hypertensive pts
-o2 should be at 6 liters minimum
-can use aerosol mask
-Unstable at temperatures >77 degrees f
-reevaluate patient, including lung sounds and respiratory rate to determine effectiveness
-Keep nebulizer upright to avoid spilling
