Crew

At Jetblue Airways we use the title "Crew" in place of the word "employee"

Flight Attendant are called inflight crew. Pilot called flight crew. All are called crewmembers

Crew Base

Each inflight crewmember is assigned to report to a specific airport from which all trips will begin and end

CRO

Complaint Resolution Official:

A Jetblue crewmember charged with specific duties and auhoity to resolove complaints sometimes made by customers

Deadheading

Flight or inflight crewmembers traveling on company business as non-working crew, either in a customer seat or jumpseat

Disarm

The process of disabling the escape slide. When the door is opened in the disarmed mode, the escape slide will not deploy

DOT

Department of Transporation:

The government agency that overseas various aspects of travel

Entry Doors

The doors on A/C left used for customers boarding and deplaning. they are occasionally referred to as L1 or L2

Exit Rows Seats

Seats from which a customer can go directly to an exit without first stepping into the main aisle
