• TEMPORARY, don't affect file's profile settings

Computer is using calibrated monitor profile to display image - Separate from actual file 

1. Use your digital camera profile to capture
2. Once on monitor assign or embed an intermediate color space profile to edit image
3. Ready to print- use custom paper profile for paper roll 

• The act of tagging a document with a particular color profile

• Can be done any time

• Tags document for work session, once closed the profile is lost 

Saving a document with the source profile (or assigned profile) which includes the profile with document data

• Done while saving

Ensures that the profile is saved also, able to be passed onto other devices in workflow chain 

Method to assign a default profile every time photoshop opens up a file that doesn't have a profile

Assures the same profile is used every time

Limits your flexibility in terms of using different profiles for images that might benefit from custom profiles 

AVOID AT ALL TIMES

• Turn off color management properties in printer driver

• Otherwise, image could be converted twice before being printed

• Double conversion could cancel out or negat the color output profile 

• Images not tagged with any profiles

Best to have a match print in order to have an exact visual color target to acheive
