Action involves extraordinary deeds in battle, dangerous journey. Gods and supernatural beings take interest or active part in action. Ceremonial performance, narrated in ceremonial style. Narrator states epic theme, invokes muse. In Media Res. Catalogues of principle characters, formal detail.
