Definition
ATHENS was a democracy, social classes received the same punishment, women were excluded from most activities, they spent time in the house making meals and taking care of kids. People received formal education. All classes could attend assemblies. SPARTA; military rule, at age seven boys were taken to train for war, women were encouraged to fight, no proper social classes, no one was technically .

Definition
Democracy - Ruled by the people. There was a legal code that everyone was equal under law. No citizen should own another. Citizens of all social classes could participate in assemblies. Citizens could submit laws.

1. Facing truth is a difficult process. 2. When exposed to something greater, people become blinded/overwhelmed. 3. Readaption is near impossible.

Was Alexander the Great truely great?
Definition
Alexander the Great should be considered great because he was well educated, learning science, geography and literature. From a young age he showed signs of being a leader, he trained horses, used weapons and commanded troops. When he became king, he put his military training to effect and conquered lands such as Persia, and kept moving further to southwest Asia. After he died he had a large cultural impact, and Greek settlers through the empire adopted new ways, and a more vibrant culture emerged.
