*wealthy white male has more power then wealthy white woman

*poor Hispanic male has more power then poor Hispanic woman

BUT

*wealthy white woman has more power than poor Hispanic male

if gender differences that lead to inequality is learned then it can be changed. If biologically based then there is nothing we can do.

-anatomical, hormonal, and chemical differences

-Sex causes gender

--ex: aggressiveness or nurturing

-- psychological social and cultural aspects of maleness and femaleness

– we usually categorize as masculinity and femenity.
