Cards Term Cell Definition An individual 'box'. Part of a column, part of a row. Holds data. Term Row Definition Cells going across (horizontal). Records usually run in rows. Term Column Definition Cells going down (vertical). Fields generally are in columns. Term Gridlines Definition visible or invisible lines seperating cells Term Headings Definition Text that is typed into the first column/row that explains the data Term Data Definition Information Term Field Definition One piece of information about many different people/places/things. ie/"First Name", "City" Term Record Definition Complete information about one person/place/thing. ie/A record would contain my name, address, phone number, etc. and no one elses.
