"Absolute Treasure" Stamile 98,
6"-7" orchid rose self, 32" scapes, tet, evergreen foliage, fragrant. Beautiful pink!! Reported to be a repeat bloomer. The flower is a very pure lilac and orchid With a Green Throat. Round symmetrical form. I bought this daylily through the Lily Auction from Loraine Waite in the spring of 07. It's bloom season in my garden is from June 2 to the 25th, fairly short, but lovely while it lasts.

6" flowers on 32" scapes. This dormant tetraploid blooms Early. It is a Black-purple self with a green throat, is fragrant and nocturnal. I bought this daylily in August of 2007 through the Lily Auction from Laura Burris. It bloomed in my garden in mid June in 2008.

"All American Plum"
Tetraploid 30" tall, Early bloomer, Evergreen, Repeat bloom, Extended Bloom, 5 ½" bloom. A long blooming purple plum, a green heart. I got this daylily in the fall of 2006 from Gildber H. Wild and Sons. It bloomed May 28th in 07 and in early June in 2008. In 2009, it began blooming June 2.

A medium mauve-edged buff with purple eyezone and green throat. Height: 22 inches; Flower Size: 5½ inches. Tetraploid; Early, Reblooms, Extended Bloom; Foliage Habit: semi-evergreen. Stout Silver Medal 1997. This is a gorgeous daylily in the garden.

A magnificent dark wine daylily with velvety 5" flowers. The petals are slightly ruffled and fold back gently. Blooms mid-season. Plants are 28" tall. In my garden this daylily blooms from early June until late July. I love American Revolution.

"Antique Gold."
This very early daylily might be "Sparkling Orange" but until I know its true name, I call it "Antique Gold." Brilliant diamond dusted golden/orange self. Very Early bloomer. I acquired this daylily many years ago and moved it to the Sturbridge garden in 2004. In my garden it begins blooming in mid May and continues until early July. This one is well worth the garden space.

"Apricot Sparkles " (Apps 2000)
A 15" dwarf daylily with 3"-4" deep apricot-yellow blooms and a delightful sparkling diamond-dusted finish. Although it is reported to repeat constantly from May to frost, it's performance in my garden has been somewhat less impressive. Diploid. It has winter dormant foliage. I begins blooming early June and has a few blooms throughout the summer. Sometimes it reblooms in early October.

"Art Gallery Fringe" (Lambertson 1998)
Stunning bi-tone. A lovely 4" tetraploid, rose orange bi-tone with soft gold edge. An early season bloomer that keeps on repeating! 24" scape. I won this daylily in the winter of 2006 through the Lily Auction from Laura St. Onge. In my garden the bloom season is early June until early July -- with oodles of flowers. This is one grand daylily.

"Atlanta Heart Stealer" (Petree 1985)
25" tall, blooms mid-season with 6" flowers. This tetraploid is rose pink with yellow-green eyezone, green throat, and pronounced white midribs. The reflexed sepals are paler pink. Foliage is dormant. In my garden the bloom season is from mid June until mid July.

"Autumn Daffodil" (Kraus 1948)
46" height, 3" flower very late. Medium yellow flowers with broad, nicely flared petals. Tall, narrow foliage. Dormant foliage, Diploid, Fragrant. I got this daylily in the spring of 2007 from Hill Gardens of Maine. In my garden this charming daylily bloomed from July 13th until August 29th, when most other daylilies were long gone.

"Awesome Blossom" (Salter 1996)
scapes 24" tall and the flowers are 5" wide. "Awesome Blossom" is reported to be an early to mid-season reblooming daylily, though there has been no rebloom in my garden. This beautiful daylily with evergreen foliage is antique rose with raisin plum eyezone and yellow to green throat. In my garden the bloom season has been from June 1 to June 19th. Although it has a wonderful flower, the short bloom season makes me wonder if it is worth the garden space.

"Bama Bound" (Webster 86)
24" tall, Mid Season 5" Bloom, Semievergreen tetraploid. Fragrant, dark red self with a narrow, sunny yellow band and an apple green throat; sunfast. Midribs are yellow at the throat, turning to purple towards the edges. Tightly recurved sepals, ruffled petals, and smooth sepals. Blooms in midsummer on sturdy, well-budded stems -- in my garden from mid June to mid July, but sparsely. I love the velvety texture.

28-29" Scapes with 6" blossoms. This fragrant semi-evergreen tetraploid is a Mid-Season and reported to be a rebloomer. (Parents: Pirate's Patch X Seedling) Cream yellow with bold black purple eye, matching edge and green throat. I love this dramatic daylily though it has not been prolific in my garden. It blooms from early June to early July.

A wonderful and prolific daylily with 4½ inch blooms with good substance on 24 inch scapes. (The flowers are larger in my garden) Cream yellow shaded in lemon yellow with a gold ruffled edge. Well branched. Early mid season. It is reported to be a good repeat bloomer in some gardens. Fragrant. Evergreen. Tetraploid. In my garden it blooms from early June until late July.

29" Scapes with fragrant 5" sunny gold blooms. This mid-season bloomer is reported to rebloom. It is a Tetraploid with Semi-evergreen foliage. In my garden it blooms in mid June for a couple of weeks, but may do better when it is better established. It is a gorgeous daylily.

"Big Time Happy" (Darrel Apps 1993) An outstanding daylily that seems to just keep going. This lovely and vigorous diploid has 4" soft lemon-yellow blooms with ruffled edges and a green throat. The flowers are very like Happy Returns but double the surface area -- on 18 inch scapes. It begins flowering in my garden very early in June and continues through the entire month of July. It may bloom even longer and live up to it's reputation when the plants get bigger.

Tetraploid, 26" scapes, 5½ blooms, Early to Mid season and reported to re-bloom in some gardens, though not yet in mine. It's flowers are butter yellow gold with a red-purple eyezone. High bud count. In my garden it blooms from mid June until mid July.

"Carolyn Criswell" (Harris-Petree 1977)
4¼" flowers, 23" tall. Soft yellow sepals with a large, canary yellow eye and lime green throat. Extra wide petals with pronounced ruffled edges; sepals are smooth. The best daylily foliage; deep blue green and remarkably insect and disease resistant. Reported to bloom for over several weeks beginning in early summer. Flowers last at least 16 hrs each. In my garden it begins blooming in mid June through early July.

"Challenger" (Stout 49)
Extra tall, medium red flower of modest size. High bud count and candelabra branching coupled with its very late season makes it a welcome addition to the garden. An altissima hybrid that is reported to be a rebloomer. H.M. Award. This amazing old Stout hybrid sends flowering scapes to six feet before opening in midsummer. Each stem is home to clusters of large spidery, bright red flowers. In my garden it blooms from late July until mid August.

A beautiful cherry red and blooms very well. It is sturdy, stands up well to hot summers, and increases well. 6½" bloom, 23" tall, Early-Mid Season, Semi-evergreen. "Chicago Cherry" has a faint midrib on the petals and a yellow throat. A robust plant and a good bloomer. In my garden it's bloom season is from mid June to almost mid July.

Dormant 20" Early with rebloom. Cheerful, deep-rose petals, slightly darker eyezone, and dusty-pink midribs, with occasional pink bands. Throat is bright yellow-green on these 3½" fragrant blooms. 2004 All-American winner. This sturdy daylily blooms in mid June and continues with lots of flowers until almost mid July.

This is the species daylily "Hemerocallis Citrina," and quite possibly the variant "Citrina Vespertina." It is a nocturnal bloomer -- opens in the afternoon and blooms through the night. Also producing a fragrance, "Hemerocallis citrina" has 5-inch tight trumpet-like blooms. It is quite tall (over 4 foot high in my garden), and it is heavily branched. It blooms from mid June until late July.

I acquired this daylily in the spring of 2006 from Oakes Daylilies, and it bloomed June 16th. In 2007 it bloomed June 20 and continued for a long time. By late July it was still putting up new scapes. In 2008 it began blooming June 27th. I'm loving this cheerful prolific daylily.

"Desperado Love" (Stamile '97) is a 26" semi-evergreen tetraploid, with mid season bloom and rebloom. The 5" blooms are yellow with a plum purple eyezone and green throat . The bloom season is from mid June to late July. Very striking in the garden and quite sturdy though the branching is a bit too tight.

24"; 4" blossoms. The 1997 winner of the Annie T. Giles Award for best small-flowered daylily. Janice Brown is parent. In my garden this daylily begins blooming in late June, but has not done that well for me. It, however, is beautiful.

Tetraploid, 5½" blooms, 28" tall. Semi-evergreen, Beautiful pale ice pink Daylily with a heavy braided and extremely tight ruffled quarter inch gold edge. Early Mid Season very fertile great for edges. Good Repeat Bloomer. In my garden it blooms early to mid June and throughout most of July.

"Ed Murray" Diploid (Grovatt '70)
Height: 30" -- 4" dramatic velvety red-black petals with a bright yellowish-green throat; one of the very best in this color category. Color is entirely sunfast. Midribs are yellow in the throat area, blending into the deep red petals midway. Loosely ruffled petals; smooth, recurved sepals. Blooms in mid to late summer. Extended bloom--flowers last at least 16 hrs. each. Stout Silver Medal 1981, Lenington All-American Award 1983. It begins blooming in mid June for me and continues through the entire month of July. I love this great daylily.

25" Semi-evergreen foliage, Early-Mid Rebloomer with 5" Flowers described as deep rose pink coral with a small green throat. A ruffled gold edge and deeper rose veining accent the flowers. Scapes are well branched with four and five way branching. Parents: (Ed Brown X (Classic Romance X Timeless Romance) The short bloom season in my garden is from early June until mid to late June.

5½" and heavily textured and ruffled. It is melon-pink, vigorous, and 26" tall. This lovely tetraploid is fast to increase, has semi-evergreen foliage. It has good branching and is a heavy bloomer. Stout Silver Medal Winner 2000. In my garden it generally begins blooming early to mid June and is finished by mid July.

25" 5½" velvet cherry colorfast red self, tetraploid, evergreen, blooms mid-season with extended bloom, fertile both ways. The red is vibrant and demands attention. Plant is vigorous and hardy, fast to increase. In my garden the bloom season is from mid June through early July.

23" evergeen tetraploid that blooms early-mid season with rebloom. The 5½" flowers are extremely round with heavy ruffling. Distinctive blend of colors including yellow, rouge and peach.
