Additive - color created by mixing light rays

When 3 primary colors (RBG) are mixed, a white
Cyan, yellow, and magenta are secondary colors in this system

 

 

Subtractive - any system of color mixing in which the addition of more colors gives a duller result

Definition

System of rendering the illusion of 3D depth on a flat, 2D surface

 

linear - Operates on the theory that parallel lines appear to converge as they recede

 

one-point - frontal plane of a volume is closest to the viewer, all others seem to recede to a single vanishing point

 

two point - single edge of a volume is closest to the viewer, and all planes appear to recede to one of two vanishing points

 

three-point - only a single point of volume is closest to the viewer, and all planes seem to recede to one of three vanishing points

 

 

isometric - used in architectural drafting; renders a plane on a diagonal that doesn't recede into space

 

 

oblique - 3D object rendered with the front and back parallel

 

multipoint - various sections confomr to different perspective systems
